Melbourne welcomes Prince Charles

Prince Charles greets fans at Melbourne’s NGV

School children and war veterans were among Melburnians who lined up to meet Prince Charles at the National Gallery of Victoria this morning.

The Prince of Wales, accompanied by Victorian Premier Ted Baillieu, smiled for photographs and shook hands with fans young and old before entering the NGV for the Housing Melbourne Symposium.

The Prince and wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have spent three days in Melbourne as representatives of the Queen in her Diamond Jubilee year.

Their Royal Highnesses will continue their Australian tour in Adelaide this afternoon.
